Ubenwa is a Montreal-based startup building the future of automated sound-based medical diagnostics by leveraging cutting-edge AI research. We have developed the first technology for rapid detection of neurological and respiratory conditions in infants using only their cry sounds. Job Description

As Clinical Project Manager, you will be responsible for starting up and completing new observational studies at new sites, beginning from researching appropriate clinical sites/principal investigators until completion of the study and reporting of final results, and all steps in between. You will also assist in managing ongoing international clinical studies, especially for quality control of data, you will participate in writing grant applications, and assist in data analysis and research publications. We are looking for someone who is well organized, autonomous, and passionate about medicine and health.

Preferred Experience

Main responsibilities

  • Manage ongoing and new observational clinical studies
  • Preparing & maintaining research proposals and other key study documents
  • Assisting with budgets, contracts and agreements
  • Site trainings, launch, management, and close-out
  • Data entry & quality control
  • Occasional travel to sites may be required

Minimum qualifications

  • BSc (MSc or PhD preferred) in health sciences or related fields.
  • Must have experience coordinating and managing clinical research studies
  • Must clearly demonstrate working knowledge of day-to-day running of clinical studies
  • Highly autonomous, self-starter, and eager to learn

Additional qualifications (nice-to-have)

  • Experience in setting up industry-sponsored research studies
  • Knowledge of Health Canada and FDA requirements of industry-sponsored research for medical device approval
  • Knowledge of medical device development and quality management systems.

  • Hands-on self-starter with strong leadership qualities.

  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with limited direction.
  • Highly accountable and self-directed.
  • Team player and goal-oriented.
  • Able to work in a virtual environment, if required.
  • Exposure to basic ideas in signal analysis and machine learning is a plus, but not a requirement.
